From Everyday Tasks to AI Assistants and Agents: A Practical Workshop for AEC

Have you ever wondered if AI could help you do something better and faster? Finish that task you keep putting off. Simplify that process with too many steps. The “there has to be a better way” problem. Let’s see what AI can do.

Join Kristin Kautz, FSMPS, CPSM, for a four-hour, interactive workshop designed for AEC marketers, business developers, and firm leaders ready to put AI to work. We’ll start with your work: what you need to accomplish, where you’re getting stuck, and what would make a meaningful difference. Then we’ll explore how AI tools, apps, automations, assistants, and agents can help, and how to choose the right approach.

Agenda:
  • Hour 1: AI definitions, solution options, and use case development
  • Hours 2–3: Deep dive demonstrations of chat, GPTs/assistants/projects, and agents
  • Hour 4: Q&A, practical next steps, and an informal social hour
Expect live demonstrations, practical examples, and opportunities to follow along as Kristin takes a deep dive into custom GPTs, AI assistants, and agents. You’ll see how they’re built, what they can do, and where your expertise and judgment belong in the process. The workshop is tool-agnostic, but demonstrations are focused on ChatGPT and Claude. It would help if you had a monthly subscription to one of them.

We’ll wrap up with questions, practical next steps, and a social hour for conversation. Come curious. Leave with a defined use case, a clearer understanding of your options, and a next step you can take back to your firm.

You’ll learn how to:
  • Identify useful AI opportunities in marketing, business development, and firm operations.
  • Distinguish between tools, apps, automations, assistants, and agents.
  • Get started with a custom AI assistant for a recurring task.
  • Recognize when an agent could help with a multistep workflow.
  • Turn “I wonder if it can do this” into a practical plan to find out.
Bring your laptop, access to ChatGPT or Claude, and a real work challenge you’d like to tackle.
