Why did you join SMPS Chicago?
SMPS was a great resource to collaborate with other Marketers especially when you work in a small firm with a small marketing department. SMPS offers knowledge and tools for current market trends and practices for the AEC industry.
How has SMPS been beneficial to you, your firm, and/or your career?
I have built a lot of relationships over the years that have helped lead to opportunities that I otherwise would not have known about.
How can a new member of SMPS get the most out of their membership?
Attend networking events and introduce yourself. Join a committee to build closer relationships with professionals in the industry.
What was the most fun event you attended for SMPS?
The Summer Cookout at Carmichaels.
What do you do to kick back and relax?
Dinner with friends and family.
What is your favorite musical group/performer?
Eric Church and Luke Bryan.
What is the most interesting place you’ve visited?
St. John’s Island.
Name the most famous person you’ve had a face to face encounter with (“brush with greatness”)?
Oprah Winfrey.
If you could spend 15 minutes with any living person, who would it be and why?
Malala Yousafzia – I would like to thank her for her ongoing dedication and fight for a girl’s right to education. She is a joint recipient of 2014’s Nobel Peace Prize and the leading spokesperson for women’s rights and is setting an example for women and girls around the globe.
