SMPS Wisconsin June 16 – Madison Building Tour and Happy Hour
Join SMPS Wisconsin for a tour WiscNet’s new World Headquarters by Strang. This fresh and contemporary work environment juxtaposes neutral finishes with branded pops of color, custom vinyl wall coverings and branded signage. The floor plan was specifically designed to optimize views and exploit natural daylighting. Frameless glass systems throughout the space maximize light penetration. Additionally, 13 skylights and 3 solatubes provide natural daylight into central areas. The introduction of a 20′ living wall in the main entry offers an outdoor connection indoors.
WiscNet is a membership organization that provides research and education networking services to public and private higher education, K12 school districts, libraries, municipalities, and hospitals throughout Wisconsin. Strang’s interdisciplinary approach resulted in a new World Headquarters that exemplified WiscNet’s unique DNA through design. The tenant build-out was completed by Vogel Bros. Building Co. and is a mixture of closed meeting spaces, open collaborative areas and enclaves strategically placed to encourage structured and spontaneous collaboration. The goal with these spaces was to create flexible breakout space that connects people. Sliding glass partition, walking treadmill workstations, and a Work Café are all additional features of this modern and innovative workspace.
