SMPS Chicago and the A/E/C industry mourn the passing of architectural marketing pioneer, Patricia Rosenzweig. Pat passed December 19, 2015 after a brief illness.
Pat was very much a leader as a non-architect architectural services marketing professional. She initiated the marketing group at Perkins & Will in 1976. She continued in the field including running her own professional services marketing firm and serving as OWP/P/Cannon Design Principal and Director of Marketing until she retired in 2007. Throughout her career, she mentored numerous architects – not only in marketing, but in their own careers. She continued her skillful work in that regard as a full-time counselor on a volunteer basis at the University of Chicago's office of Career Planning and Advising Services.
She is survived by her sisters Lois Lange, Gloria (Neil) Furst, and Nancy Platt.

Pat participated extensively in SMPS Chicago in its early years and was a frequent presenter at various conferences and educational programs.
Thank you to Mary Jo Graf (also a former SMPS Chicago Chapter founder/member) for assisting with this information.
SMPS Chicago is grateful for Pat’s leadership and many contributions to professional services marketing.
The memorial will take place at The University of Chicago Bond Chapel Wednesday, January 13th at 10:30 AM. This will be a time for current and former colleagues, students, and friends to come together to remember and celebrate the incredible life of Pat. A reception will follow the memorial, for which we will provide additional details later in the week.
